Sneak Peek + Update

Because of Print Pattern and it led me to this great site studying Surface Pattern Design via here.
It has been a full on course. Lots to learn. Some of the students' works are real good!
In case you don't know, I'm a big fan of Surface Pattern Design.
If I were have to change major.
I would ditch advertising and adopt my new love playing with Surface Pattern Design.
There has been heaps of new work at the backscenes during the break.

Yes! You are expected to see more surface pattern design in the new designs.

New materials will also be introduced for the Y2012.

However, we are still at the experimenting stage. So stay tuned.

Please note that there will some changes for Missy Minzy this year.

So much had happened since the last post and wish I could find the time sitting down blog about it all.
I am not a person who set some what New Year's resolution simply because I not good at keeping them. So I go without having any for years.

These are a few highlights for Missy Minzy in Year 2011

for others to purchase and being creative in their living/nursery rooms.

Oh, we have sold out our Y2012 Mini Desk Calendar. :)
We are hoping to launch something different for Y2013.

As some of you who follow me on the blog and FB's like page...and know me quite well.
I am not much of word person in real life. But I can be a chatterbox once you get to know me.
Considered I have warned you so ;)

To me, I prefer to let my products speak for itself. So I prefer to stay behind the scene.

And guess what? Someone had contacted us recently and wanted to write story about us!
Yup! We were in the press (Progress Leader-Boroondara) recently

I know I have said that am one of those protective mum/wife who prefer not to unveil too much of my personal life (names etc) on biz page. Don't get me wrong as I am very proud of my family members, totally. But hey! This is the moment hard to come by and she is indeed one of the reason how Missy Minzy was born.

Now that I have your attention. Please note that I am currently stepping back from my FB's like page until 1st February but will hope to spend some time hanging out in blogging land instead. My head is buzzing with lots of new ideas and goals to be achieved for both personal and business in Y2012. There will be lots of Big + Positive changes at Missy Minzy. I look forward sharing them with you more, like old days..but with a new twist! Am getting the feeling that Y2012 is going to be a great year, for everyone!

Challenge Day 45 - A bit of this - A bit of that

Original photo of Lazy Bear from here
I had a very relaxing day yesterday. And I thought, why not make it another relaxing day today too. Don't get me wrong. 3 months challenge still going on..so is the Design A Sock competition too...
She is one of my favorite plant
Some of you might know that I have mentioned about setting up my working space/studio from home. Sometime I wonder is it wrong not to reserve this room for Peanut. But I really need my own space where I find my own inspiration time since I spend most of my time at home these day.

I manage to get some addition basic furniture into my creative space. So the raw materials, papers, boxes will be gradually off the ground soon. OH! You got to have some of your favorite things in your everyday inspiring creative space. So these are a few of my favorite plants sharing the same space with me. :)
There are certain things I like which I have not mention in my blog ...yet. I like papercuts design. Click here for the history of Chinese Papercuts.
I found another talent - madebyjulene when I was looking for more papercuts. Holy Moly! Look at all the details! You will love her works!
OH OHHH!! Another Mister! I have seen some of his works from Chronicle Books' blog recently. But I did not know that he is darn good on what he is doing! Great news is that he has a blog and his very own website!

Challenge Day 29 - thoughts + am sitting in my studio

Hey all! I am enjoying my Sunny Sunday today!

As some of you may know that I have been gearing up to set up my studio in the 2nd bedroom recently. So the parcels are all arrived, that including the printer. She (the printer) will be the next task, will get it going! Guess what? The computer and broadband is all set and am sitting here typing this post in my own studio!

I can feel that Peanut (my baby inside me) is celebrating with me too! Haha! She has been constantly kicking and moving within. I love all the attention she is giving me so far! :*~ She and Mr Minzy are my biggest motivation!

Some thought went through my mind this week. I have noticed that it is important to seek and hanging out with a bunch of people (especially am now staying home mum to be) who appreciate handmade and crafts or sharing the same loves on what am doing. Why so? Cuz people who going or been through similar situation KNEW what we are going through. My next task to be fulfilled is to make more new friends with various of bloggers. Hopefully to connect with some of the blogs I have been following. I think it's a good and positive thing! I am for sure a person who do and want to improve more when people giving me encouragement. :) That is the reason why I try to leave some comment or 2 at the blog which I have visited. I hope it inspired them to do more cuz there is person like me reading their post/s. Hopefully they will do the same for me. I can only hope. :)

My box full of Pantone Color Pens

I have been doing some serious 'summer cleaning' in my office room for the last 2 days (after all the painting and minor reno). I want to get the room ready for my proper Missy Minzy's world space. Hence, the mess at the background. ;)

So I'd learnt some serious marker rendering when I was at the college. I brought this box which fills with my precious marker pens when I relocated to Melbourne few years ago. Guess how many of them are lying in the box?
