Not quite sneak peek shots

I have quite a bit of breakthrough this week. Hence, I have some new work to be unveiled and share with you. It looks this week has been a productive week. And am quite satisfied with the bright and vibrant colours!

I have been spending heaps of quality time watching Peanut growing (sorry if I haven't write you back sooner). Gosh, don't they grow up quick?? 5 months she is now. I had to unwrap the christmas pressie dress set which I bought for her before she was born cuz she is getting longer. She is going to be taller than me. :) I came to realize whatever things does not matter. The most beautiful things is now. So lovely watching Peanut growing. So sweet! :)

I have noticed that the only thing which I should,

maintaining my momentum is to keep creating and keep going.

That should be the ultimate goal for me.

I actually don't mind this print if it's in my original black and white sketching.

Just keep on doing what I love doing and enjoy the adventure ride while am on it. :)

Challenge Day 93 - Sketches of the day

I just realized I have not hand-drawn any illustration for awhile ever since I started preparing all the listing at Etsy and redesigning the brand. The weekends have been a busy one..sometime had to reserve part of my time for Mr Minzy on his off day.
Today, I spent albeit of time doing things with one of my uni mate - Lucy at Journal Cafe while Mr Minzy wandering around at his favorite book shops in town. It was great catching up with her!
Oh, forgotten to mention that I made a visit to the art shop supplies before the meet with Lucy. Bought some essential art materials. Awesome!
Had a great lunch at Coconut House. Haven't had curry laksa for a very long time. So it was good! :D~

Been drawing heaps of weird whimsical character for some reason. Haha..

Anyways, these sketching you are looking at are some effort I thought I should invest some time to draw something during the evening (am more of an late night creator).

Thought came through my mind while doing all this:

Time flies very fast when you are doing things. Those old days where I used to sit and ponder were long gone. But who is the one looking back? Reflecting it right now. How silly I was. :)

Challenge Day 78 & 79 - Creative Updates

Here's some updates from my creative studio. I have been tied up with both creative adventure from my studio and my personal life. The busier I get, the more I felt as if I was back to workplace, just like old days. Quite a funny feeling isn't it? One thing I have learnt for the past few days was I have to step out from the studio and do something if I ever get bored. Note to self: Doing so is good for you!..... before you get bonkers! :D

I have been spending quite some time custom make my own envelope while building my portfolio up and running. The creative challenge seems never ending. My intuition was like telling me stop drawing and do more digital work please hey! You have to know that it is now Challenge Day 79 and imagine how many concept sketching I have drawn so far. They are all waiting for me to make them into another masterpiece of mine.

Meanwhile, I have noticed there has been some changes on how the way I draw. Not sure is that a good change or a bad change. Maybe needs to take a break and do something different. Maybe....

Challenge Day 76 Part II - I do not know

I have no idea what I wanted to draw today. These is exactly what I drew few minutes ago. Wave lines...but with beautiful colors (in my imagination world). Hrm, not sure. My creative juice is running low today it seems. All I wanted to do now is work on more digitalize of my masterpieces. Uhm, maybe..wanting to be a more organize person on top of a few projects am having in my plate at the moment. My heart is thinking of the execution how to packaging my goodies. Am I the only person who get so anxious (Ms Perfectionist!)?

I don't quite like this drawing for some reason..

Woke up this morning......come to think that I have a mission to do for our social function tonight. Remember I have posted a recipe on Eggless Dates and Dates and Chocolate drops cake not too long ago? Most of my guests love it and asked me to bake it again for tonight. I dunno how things going to turn out cuz I cannot taste them after they are baked and ready to eat ;) Especially now am watching my blood sugar level. Anyways, I just realized my face looks smaller and sharper. Yeah. It seems like I have lost weight. But uhmm..not my baby bump alright? Hehe..

Anyways, I couldn't recall how I found this site - Bakerella but I love every picture they posted (I believed they would taste as good as...) and I thought maybe you girls should give it a go. Well, just ignore it if you are weight watching.....cuz I can only look and drool while staring at all of those picture. I have to wait for Peanut to born so that I can make/bake them. :D~

Challenge Day 65 Part III - Old Habits die hard

Old habits die hard. Given I was a professional graphic designer. I am expected and being trained to get things done precise. I just found out that my monitor has 2 different color tone over the weekend. and here I was..thinking I bought the best monitor few months ago.

Challenge Day 61 Part II - Peaceful Day

I am enjoying my peaceful day today. I had a good start cuz of Mr Minzy's prayer. Then I went out for my morning walk..then participate Kirsty's MCS. More setting up e-store stuffs going on in the house. Then continue more designs while juggling with some games ;) Then made my no fat meals and snacks.

I am very tempted to show you some of my works but I have to wait for the big day to come. Sigh...so so tempted!

Challenge Day 61 - My Creative Space 4

Have you ever being busy because you are just simply being busy? I know I do. It is a huge transformation for me it seems. And I think it got to do with Peanut's coming soon..As some of you might know that I am diagnosed with Borderline Gestational Diabetes (31wks atm) and the hospital advised me to prick my finger 4 times a day. So my week been tied up with all this pricking fingers activities and looking around for what food to eat to keep the blood sugar level low. Given a food lover I am. It is hard!!

On the brighter side...I have been working on more color prints from my 'basic drawing'. Also being brave to set up my etsy store...and all other necessary. Like what Shannon said to me last week....just do it and you will learn the mistake as you go along.

Anyways, got to dash for my morning walk (it's my must do routine now). Head over to Kirsty's space and check out what others are creating this week too. Happy Thursday all! :)

Challenge Day 59 & 60 - sketching of the day

Thank you for some lovely encouragement emails in regards one of my post recently. I greatly appreciate that. It truly make my day so much lighter.

Mr Minzy and I have learnt this new phrase - Fake Cop from KRudd recently. We thought it was funny. But seriously, do you have anyone who likes to be a fake cop to you? That person who tends to want to be on top of everything and checking have you done this and that? I believe we bound to meet 1 or 2 in our daily life. Heh. :)

Challenge Day 58 - Sketching + some inspiration

Imagine this:- Trying to squeeze the last drop of the lemon juice so that you can have enough of the lemon juice goodness into your cake ingredient? That is exactly how am feeling today. As I was trying to squeeze some creative juice out from my blank-out-brain. :D~

Very smart storage idea

Just in case you dunno...I like to look at home decoration & home designs. I like designed products but not the price ;) I like White Kitchen. I like new modern found and old retro things cuz different elements which came from different century can give the whole place a different impact. Oh. I have to emphasize that I like things less cluttered. I like things when it's neat and organize. I like simple. And not all Minimalism is good in my honest opinion. But you know what I meant...

Challenge Day 57 - Sketching for the day

Inspiration strikes me just when I was about to duck out to the Hawthorn Craft Market. So I had to sit down and complete the ideas before I leave the house today. Surprisingly to see the Minzy's style has developed to different stage. I supposed is a good thing? I guess there should be more productivity going on by the end of the day.

Conclusion: Today is a good day to draw and being creative. I love it when it is like that. I hope everyone is enjoying the Sunday...hopefully the weather forecast rain is not going to be as wild as yesterday later today.

Challenge Day 54 - Sketching for the day

Am feeling bit exhausted today. Mainly because I was/am juggling with too many things at the same time. I was up almost all night playing nurse cuz Mr Minzy is ill...and he kept me awake the whole night. Then my lovely Peanut....she was wiggling v actively inside me at the same time. (Is it the daddy & daughter's telepathy thingy??) I wonder if this is a preparation for me when Peanut is born cuz I haven't been able having a decent sleep since Monday..

On the positive side...I have been working on amending some colors for my designs. As I noticed there's slight color different between the print out and my screen color. It's a boring job but it's essential if you want it to be consistency. Yeah...old professional habit can't change. Yeah...say am Ms Perfectionist. I am... ;)

I should be back on blogland more active as of tomorrow...as my broadband provider has reducing my speed limits to the minimum since I have used up my monthly quota for the last few days. OH WELL.

Just too many to do list on the list right now. Hope to get it done after a good night sleep tonight.

Challenge Day 52 - Sketches for daysss

It is always good to have friends who care. We were very blessed to have 2 angel friends (they are couple) gave us their baby goodies for our lovely Peanut... :*~ I am pleased to say that Peanut is now has a bassinet when she is born and a pram to push her around. Oh and a car seat... how sweet is that :)

As for the challenge, I spent the first half of my day catching up with my daily concept drawing. It went pretty well and I felt content with all of them. And now am off to bake some goodies to reward Mr Minzy and myself. Cheers all! :)

I have to admit that I found it difficult coming in here updating my day-to-day during the weekend (once again!). Morever it was my birthday last Saturday! ^_^

Challenge Day 50: We went to Thread Den North Melbourne market on Sunday morning before proceeding to some wet market shopping at Queen Victoria Market. Other than looking at some really nice handmade found at the market. I get to meet Penny from Pocket Carnival in person...finally! She is super friendly! I hope I did not surprised her too much when I approached her before she gets back to her stall ;)

And not to mention I also found a very lovely necklace from Michelle from Mecino. Apparently that was her best seller! I simply just fall in love with it when I had my eyes on it!

Challenge Day 51: I have a lot to catch up when comes to my daily concept sketching (Remember, the 3 months challenge?). Mr Minzy bought me some picture frames (one of the birthday pressie) so that I can print more of my illustration/design masterpieces to frame and hang them around at our pad. It was an unexpected pressie from him I have to say.

You might be wondering it seems like am an easy being impressed person. Yes! You would be the same if you were me when all you care and do is to do the best and hope the best. And good karma will be return onto you. With that you don't get too disappointed easily...and will always constantly being surprised with the unexpected results! :)
